Amanda McKee Gillum, Ph.D.,

Co-Chair, Found in Translation

Principal of PharmaQuest Consulting, specializes in technology assessment, project management, and discovery strategy, with over 20 years research and management experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

 Most recently, Dr. Gillum was Vice President, Product Development at Polymerix Corporation, developing regulatory strategies for medical devices and depot drug delivery products for PolymerDrug™ technology. 

She previously served as Director, Technology Assessment and Transfer at Genta Inc., Vice President of Product Development at EpiGenesis Pharmaceuticals, and Director of Biology Solutions at MDL Information Systems. 

As Director of Discovery Biochemistry at Sterling Winthrop Pharmaceuticals, Dr. Gillum ran the robotics-intensive high throughput screening department, which generated the company’s pre-development lead candidates. 

While a Senior Research Investigator at Squibb Institute for Biomedical Research, she studied biosynthesis of the newly discovered monobactam antibiotics and engineered mechanism-based assays for discovery and evaluation of anti-infective and cholesterol lowering agents. 

She has authored over 30 publications.  Dr. Gillum holds a PhD in Biochemistry and a Master of Science in the Management of Technology, both from MIT, and a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, with Distinction and Departmental Honors, from Indiana University.
